In the nearly ten years I have known Dr. Carolyn Cole and Mrs. Bettie Lowery, I have found them to be a special gift from God. Dr. Cole was outstanding—great facilitator, good teacher/student interaction, very knowledgeable about subject and content.  Did not allow her own theology to dominate others.   Eucharist was special and a good way to symbolize the goal of commissioning the retreatants to be disciples.

Dr. Cole’s gift is to tackle the issue without sugarcoating, to go to the roots of the issue, and to bring the underlying sin and then gently but firmly go to the Bible and give the Biblical solution to the situation.
To sum it up, "no nonsense" is her approach, and the Bible is her measuring stick with integrity as her asset.
If you want someone to let you "feel good" she is not the person. If you are ready to take responsibility for your acts and want someone to WALK WITH YOU in your desert experience and help you through to find the right path, she is the person.
